The Kenya CCM decided to apply for Round 9 for both the Malaria and TB components. The deadline for the submission of the final National Proposal document is on the 1st June 2009. The CCM has selected the priority areas which Kenya has identified as per the gap analysis as a guide to the applicants. The Shortlisted Organizations for Round 8 |

In 2007 the CCM made the decision to adopt a Proposal Development Process, in which an Independent Review Panel would be selected and approved by the CCM members to evaluate the Proposals presented by different Organizations following the advertised Call for Interest. For Round 8 the CCM adopted 2 types of criteria of Evaluation, one for the big organizations and another one for the districts based organizations to be used by the IRP in the evaluation. In addition to the above, the CCM also included an appeals process for allowing any of the organizations who are not satisfied with the decision of the IRP to have their proposal re-evalutated Please note that the appeals process is still ongoing up to Wednesday 20th August 2008. The Kenya Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) is developing the Global Fund
Round 8 Proposal. The Kenya CCM will appoint one or more organisations as the
principal recipient for the Round 8 proposal. The Principal Recipient (PR) will
manage the Global Fund grant on behalf of the CCM. The CCM is requesting for
applications from institutions interested to be nominated by the CCM Constituencies
as PRs. CCM Constituencies include Government Institutions, Faith Based
Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, People Living With the Diseases,
Development Partners, Professional Bodies, Universities and the Private Sector
Organizations.
